We designed this addition to help our clients grow their family. Working to improve access to the existing second story bedrooms, we created a code-compliant stair that is comfortable, light-filled and has fantastic views of the Olympics. The focus on light and comfort extends to the first floor addition, with large windows letting in natural light and increasing our clients’ connection to their chicken-filled backyard, an expanded dining area, and an open mudroom with loads of hidden storage. For our clients' beloved cats, elevated catwalks were designed into the window detailing. We can’t wait for the house to be filled with the pitter-patter of little feet (feline and human)!

The two-story addition is connected to the west side of the existing craftsman house. The addition respects the scale and style of the existing house.
